LNG carrier attacked in Gulf of Guinea

By LNG World News LNG carrier La Mancha Knutsen came under pirate attack in the Gulf of Guinea, off Nigeria’s Port Harcourt.
Citing a source in the ministry of defense, Spanish daily El Comercio, reported that at least seven armed men approached the 173,656-cbm LNG carrier opening fire on the tanker once it increased speed to avoid the pirates boarding the vessel.
The attack was abandoned after the pirates failed to board the vessel, which then headed to Bonny island, where it berthed for further investigation.
