Mountain Valley Pipeline receives environmental impact statement

The Mountain Valley Pipeline has received its final environmental review ahead of a vote on the 304-mile project carrying Marcellus Shale natural gas through West Virginia and Virginia.

The environmental assessment was released Friday by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), which regulates interstate pipeline construction.
