Rig count unchanged from week ago

Pennsylvania’s natural gas drilling held steady last week.

Baker Hughes weekly rig count finds Pennsylvania remaining at 34 working in the Marcellus and Utica shales, the same number since June 9, when it rose by one. West Virginia remains steady at 13 rigs working, as did Ohio at 27.

The most drilling is in the Marcellus Shale, with 45 rigs, according to Baker Hughes. There were 28 rigs running in the Utica Shale.
